Anadi Anant is a Yoga, Meditation and Reiki Centre based in Stoke on Trent, in the United Kingdom.

The Centre was established by Mrs Mishra in 1991, first and foremost, to promote an authentic Indian tradition of Yoga and meditation, and to inspire people to adopt a yoga lifestyle.

Reiki was introduced a little later, as a spiritual discipline connected to Buddhist yoga tradition.

A range of therapies are available, to help alleviate the stresses and strains of modern lifestyles and to promote healing in a natural and holistic way.

As well as the Yoga Centre there is a shop offering a wide variety of products that tie in with the values and ethics of Anadi Anant. Many are hand crafted from natural materials. Fair Trade products are sourced wherever possible.

Why Yoga?

Yoga is a science.

It is an ancient science.

Over thousands of years it has proved itself to meet all the challenges of human life, be they physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual.

As a science it offers holistic solutions to health on all levels.

It is the perfect antidote to the ills of the world today.

Mrs Mishra

Anadi Anant represents a very, very ancient tradition of India. The roots of this tradition can be traced way back to the time of the Vedas and the Brahmins of Mithila.

The Mithila of the Vedas was a land that extended over an area that is now to be found in Northern India and Southern Nepal. It was a land that excelled in the field of scholarship.

The Maithil Brahmins were the guardians of a tradition known as the 'Path of Knowledge' (philosophy or jnana kanda). They were considered to be the sole custodians of learning.

Mrs Mishra is of this lineage.
